Was born in 1979 in Lviv, Ukraine. In 2000 he graduated from Trush Lviv State College of Decorative and Fine Arts, at the department of the artwork restoration. During 2000-2006 he studied in Lviv National Academy of Arts, at the department of sacred art. His main field is iconography, painting and restoration. The author’s works are in the churches and private collections in Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Canada and the USA. Movchan took part in more than 40 art projects and group exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. Sacred art of Danylo Movchan manifests itself in a simple archetypal impersonal forms (circle, rectangle, cross), the colors (red, blue, white) and more temporal and complicated images – sacred portraits or landscapes.
