The new icon, as a trend and the artists associated with it, has been in our interest since the end of 2017. Since then, we have constantly supported and promoted the activities of the artists associated with the new icon, and the gallery has organised two non-commercial exhibitions entitled “Limits of the Icon”, which were very popular among visitors. It is very important that the visitors included young people as well as adults and seniors. For everyone, the most interesting and intriguing were the possibilities of combining in the icon: tradition with modernity. The exhibitions also brought together a large group of Ukrainians and Belarusians interested in the formal transformation of an art form as close to them as the icon. Our experience shows that there is great creative potential in this artistic field. So we wanted to create a website – a stable place on the web – where not only events or exhibitions would be presented but, above all, the new icon and its creators would be promoted and popularised on a continuous basis.
Our gallery organizes about 15 exhibitions annually, both in Poland and abroad. We cooperate with cultural institutions and museums. Thanks to us, the new icon has appeared in the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Włocławek, the City Museum in Bardejov, Slovakia, the Karacs Museum in Hungary and the Posk Gallery in London. We constantly support and promote this kind of art, believing that the revival of the icon is possible and even inevitable.

We invite you to visit our website frequently, as well as social media related to it. We will enrich it on an ongoing basis and update it with the most interesting events promoting this form of art.

The website has been made possible thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under the “Culture in the Net” programme and cooperation with project partners.
