Oil paints - a type of slowly drying paint with a paste or liquid consistency, in which pigment particles are suspended in a carrier, oil, usually vegetable. Linseed, walnut, poppy and safflower oil is usually used to produce oil paints. Siccatives are added to oil paints to accelerate their drying.
